Back up and restore

Open the … menu at the top right, then Help, settings & backups. Save a backup file to Files or iCloud Drive. To restore, choose Restore a backup and pick the file. Private notes stay on the phone and are not in the backup.

Export notes for Obsidian

In Help, settings & backups, tap Export notes for Obsidian. You get a folder with one Markdown file per note, your pictures alongside, and a combined file. Save it to Files or AirDrop it to your Mac and drop it into your vault.

Delete things

Swipe any row to the left and tap Bin. There's an Undo for a few seconds, then the item is gone, including its Apple Calendar event. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes its data from the device.

Reminders and calendar

If tasks or appointments are not appearing in Reminders or Calendar, open the Settings app, tap Task Mike and check that access is switched on.

Recordings are not turning into text

Check that Microphone and Speech Recognition are switched on for Task Mike in the Settings app. The first recording can take a moment while your iPhone prepares speech recognition.

Private notes

Private notes open with Face ID or your passcode and relock when you leave the app. They live only on your iPhone, so keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
